I think the trick is going to be having a perfectly level bed and having the part fan on full blast to cool the plastic before it melts the sheet. I imagine that it will be able to sit on the bed (between 60 and possibly 70 degrees) without melting, but if the extruder touches it, then it is toast. I am going to try printing onto one tonight, probably with a hairspray adhesive. Some of the specifications I've seen say that the melting point of the sheets are around 70 degrees Celsius, while others have said 170. It is a thermoplastic that can easily withstand sitting on a sometimes very hot light bulb. I came across some cellulose acetate sheets, which used to be used as transparent sheets for teaching and stuff. I am going to try out a couple of ideas soon. I would be so stoked if this worked because removing prints would be as easy as it could possibly be.
